DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Lubomir MARTINOVIC (Slovak Academy of Sciences)\n\nA
careful study of the two-point functions in light-front (LF) field theory
is performed at equal LF time $x^+=y^+$ and at coinciding space-time poin
ts $x=y$. Using a regularized field expansion\, we demonstrate that recent
claims in literature about failure of the Hamiltonian "on-shell" form of
the LF theory are not justified. It is actually the Feynman treatment whic
h\, without proper regularization\, leads to mathematically ill defined am
plitudes (tadpole diagram)\, while the LF Fock methods yield consistent re
sults. In the second part of my talk\, a very simple exactly solvable mode
l with two massive scalar fields will be suggested as a suitable example f
or comparison of the non-perturbative structure of the LF and "equal-time"
forms of field theory. Diagonalization of the corresponding Hamiltonians
and construction of their physical vacuum states can help to clarify the r
elation between the two forms of QFT. \n++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
